critique of the author's writing techniques as per writing strategies, language, meaning, writing
techniques and style as explained in
Critique an Essay
*must be written in 3rd person. * should exhibit good
command of standard written English note:
Do not retell the essay. Critique it.
Write one
original Directive Process OR Informative Process paragraph
"Directive" Process Analysis paragraph The topic is up to you. Make it suitable for a paragraph.
For example: how to enjoy a rainy day, how to sell a car,
how to make friends, how to enjoy college, etc..... note: be sure your topic is suitable for a simple paragraph. Do not write about anything mechanical like a dinner
recipe, or changing a tire. Think more analytically DO NOT write about the essay you read in Unit 4.

Process Analysis paragraph that explains
how something interesting happened. The topic is up to you. Make it suitable for a paragraph. For example: how a friendship dissolved or was maintained, how a
bad or good habit forms, how someone got in trouble or got out
of trouble, how someone stayed healthy or did not stay healthy
etc. DO NOT write about the essay you read in Unit 4.
